Educational blogging
A colleague of mine passed these links on to me when she heard about the work that we're doing and I thought many of my students might find them interesting:

http://edublogs.org/
As soon as I finish adding everyone as members to their respective class blogs I may finally find the time to start writing my own ideas about all of this.

In case you don't know what redhat is: a 'provider of Linux and open source technology', Linux being an operating system.
I find this vision particularly interesting because of its underlying assumptions about children. That is, that they have the capacity to be 'new community of problem solvers' and that they are 'in unexpected places'. It makes me wonder which teachers already believe that their students have such capacities and/or which teachers believe this to be unexpected. It's also interested that children are being imbued with this place and that this place is an unexpected one. Much to think about across both the workshops: multiliteracies, space and notions of technology are evoked in all of the above.
